If you freeze at a blank page, being asked a thoughtful follow-up question is exactly what draws you out, and Rosebud's guided conversations, therapist-designed prompts, and queryable long-term memory genuinely deliver that. It's launched, mature, and on iOS, Android, and the web today. If a guided, therapy-style conversation is what helps you open up, Rosebud is good at it.

The structural difference

Rosebud is a conversation you hold: pick a mood, write or speak, answer the AI's questions, five to fifteen minutes of active back-and-forth. The entry costs the same effort on your best day and your most exhausted one, and if you're not up for the conversation, there's no entry. Reviewers also note daily interaction caps that can end a session mid-thought.

Evolve inverts it. You talk, messy and unedited, about whatever's on your mind. Evolve listens and asks about what mattered, but you're never on the hook for an answer, and the entry stays in your words. You stop when you're done; the thinking keeps going overnight, and the morning brings the thread of your days. Both models are legitimate: one is for people who want to be drawn out by an interviewer, the other for people who want to lead the conversation and get on with their evening.

The privacy row deserves precision: Rosebud's own policy says entries tied to you as an individual are never shared or sold (see its privacy policy), while independent reviews of its terms of service report that anonymized, aggregated data may be licensed to AI labs for training with no opt-out (see this analysis). Evolve's stance has no such seam: your content is not used for training, anonymized or otherwise.
